The gown is yours...

You are Leo.
Can you Roar? Are you prepared to enter the Sanctuary?
Your Pater waits for Mithras to show you, Leo, the way.

I will roar!

MITHRAS, God of the Morning, our trumpets waken the Wall!
‘Eidolon is above the Nations, but Thou art over all!’
Now as the names are answered, and the guards are marched away,
Mithras, also a soldier, give us strength for the day!
Mithras, God of the Noontide, the heather swims in the heat.
Our helmets scorch our foreheads, our sandals burn our feet.
Now in the ungirt hour—now ere we blink and drowse,
Mithras, also a soldier, keep us true to our vows!

Mithras, God of the Sunset, low on the Western main—
Thou descending immortal, immortal to rise again!
Now when the watch is ended, now when the wine is drawn,
Mithras, also a soldier, keep us pure till the dawn!

Mithras, God of the Midnight, here where the great bull dies,
Look on thy children in darkness. Oh take our sacrifice!
Many roads thou hast fashioned—all of them lead to the Light,
Mithras, also a soldier, teach us to die aright!

Kneel down, Miles.

Wrap a blindfold over your eyes.
Allow me to bound your hands together.

I offer you this crown on the tip of my sword, Miles.

I am placing this crown upon your head.

With one stroke I am liberating you from
the bondages of the material world.

Place your new crown on your shoulder, Miles,
and repeat these words three times:

"Mithra is my only crown"

As my rite of passage, I let myself go, abandoning my cares to the thrill of the hunt. The smell of earth, the sustainer of our health filled my nostrils, the air weighed heavy on my cool skin. Silence swaddled the earth in its comforting, and yet ominous embrace. My weapon firmly in hand, I moved forward, the dew clinging grass to my feet. What was that? Oh the sound of my prey! Oblivious to my presence? No, it was fully aware of my presence. But the naive curiosity! The dark curiosity that has led all living beings into a trap at one time or another, be the trap deadly or only harmfull. Dawn's early light kissed the earth, as a lone brown figure walked into the open. Oh earth, sing a lament! A lament of loss of one of your creatures! Fallen to sustain another! One life sustained by the fall of another. By the blood of another are our lives sustained! But never before had my hands shed the blood of my sustenance. Having seen this simple fact of life first hand, I walked away with a new look on life. I walked away a new and enlightened man, reminded even more of the frailty of life and death.

Kneel Now Nymphus

A ring accepted, a heart given. I am Nymphus!

I adore the sentiment of this presentation, Mr. Fangs Pumpkin!!!
Nothing more ravishing that a bride just prior to her big moment.
Chuckle. Chuckle.
You are certainly ready for the grade of Nymphus, Pumpkin.

Please accept "a ring for a bride".

Of the bride...
